Is Cold Steel getting out of the blowgun dart business?

I have been watching the Dart selection dwindling down over time and it has me concerned. First, it started with the discontinuation of the razor-tipped broad-head dart. Second to go was the Zytel broad-head dart. Then the mini broad-head dart went on back-order....and it still is? Now, even, the bamboo dart has recently gone on back-order. So, what is actually going on with the Darts? Is Cold Steel getting out of the blowgun dart business? If not then, When can we expect to see a Full selection of dart for sale again?

I think that darts might bevthe least profitable for them its so easy to make your own. and the cones are not all that great either. you can buy a lot better cones at any hardware store.

what better cones? Which hardware stores?

I'd like to know that also.

I have made darts that I liked a lot using the nose cones from fireworks that i found along the beach. "Blowguns, The Breath of Death" a short book by Michael Janich, has lots of interesting blowgun ideas, and is readily available on Amazon, etc.

What's even sadder is that I sent that same post as a message to Cold Steel and I have not received a reply as of yet...

So, here's the latest! I have ordered supplies for my first attempt at making my own darts. I have coming... two different types of caulking tube caps for cone fletching. (.125)1/8th inch solid carbon fiber rods for shafts. (.125) 1/8th inch inside diameter ferrules in ,both, stainless steel and plastic. Exacto blade #23. a specialized glue. black sail thread. Once I get some darts made, I will upload the pics. Oh! what I would give for a Mini Metal Lathe...

Well, it looks like Cold Steel is staying in the dart business. Here is CS's reply to my email..... Arizona Office - The Razor Tips were discontinued because of problems with the manufacturer. When we find another one we will bring them back or something better. The Zy-Ex did not perform to our expectations so we dropped it. The Bamboo and the Mini's we flat ran out of because of an unusually busy Christmas Season. They should be back in stock in a couple of weeks.

They must be selling like hotcakes~ The broadheads are on back-order again, Really hope they get them in soon, Has been a long time since i have shot a blowgun~
