Doubtful that it was thrown, our tantos do not make for such great throwing weapons.

not many people could throw a tanto that well but depending on how sharp the point is, it could be done with the no spin style of knife throwing that i use. i think i could probably throw that into the tree but maybe not that deep.

I've noticed that when I throw my Trailmaster it always sticks blade edge up same as this tanto. Must be due to the thick spine?
