Trench Hawk! - Sunday, March 13, 2011 6:03 PM ( #1 )
Special thanks and a shout out to Mike Sastre on this one.  At the Erie, PA gun show today, I stopped by his tables and looked at (fondled) about 2/3 of the items, which if you know Mike, is no small amount of CS goods.  I had imagined I was going to snag a Spartan or a pocket Bushman, but not being able to decide and being short on cash, Mike gave me a forum discount on a Trench Hawk, which I've wanted since the release of the early ad copy last year.  I'm working on uploading my initial impressions video as I type this.

I loved my trench hawk too(and still do). As you stated the full convex grind is definitely the trench hawks best feature. Here's some mods I did to my trench hawk , all of which I recommend to enhance its deploy-ability.
here's it in action

and mods(camo form handle wrapped, lanyard added to sheath to speed deployment, wrist lanyard[secured to the handle with ranger bands], I used super glue to stiffen up the thumb break)

a way to carry the trench hawk, a hammer lug

Great mods and pics, wave!

Don't know if it was intentional, but the fact that you hacked through an advert for a personal injury lawyer is hilarious. Well done!

Scott unintentional, I didn't even notice the advert till after I did it penetration tests, and another person pointed it out from another forum.

This guy has the use of the sheath figured out beautifully.  I get it now!

Storm Fox,

Good seeing you this last weekend in Erie, PA!! Glad you're likin' your Trench Hawk - awesome implement!! Look forward to seeing you at the Monroeville show the end of April. LCT will also be in Pittsburgh that weekend at the NRA Convention. Still have a Spartan and Pocket Bushman calling your name - they miss your touch.

Excellent stuff.  If you're inclined to lesson the weight or change the balance you can always drill out the bottom with a quarter inch drill bit.  I did this when I added some paracord to the handle and it feels great.
