Save You Dyer Lint.

A quick and easy way to start a fire fast is by using dryer lint. Carry a zip lock bag filled with dryer lint in your pocket. A large amount will fit in a small bag and it is lite weight, then just use your match, lighter or a striking steel to start your fire.

Coincidentally enough, I tried this for the first time last night after reading about it elsewhere - In short, this is the one of the best tinders I have come across, it literally bursts into flames as soon as a spark touches it. It burns quite quickly, so you have to be on the ball with the kindling, but yeah, really good stuff.
It compresses really well too, so you can get a lot in a small space.

I have a huge bag of it.... I save t for packing material.  Now and then when someone ticks me off during a sale, I pack their item all safe and sound in my dryer lint.  That usually takes the wind out of their sails a bit and they back off a bit.  I do this rarely though as it takes a lot for me to decide you deserve the lint treatment.

Guess I will have to try a bit of it out now and see about adding it to my fire kits.  Maybe in the end the joke was on me and the folks I did that too open the box and said, "BONUS!  Tinder!" ;^)

If you use lint try to save only lint from cotton clothes, this works the best.

Nice thought but I don't use the dryer, I hang my clothes on a dryer rack : (
 
When camping I use cotton balls coated with petroleum jelly and or old bicycle rubber inner tube pieces. The rubber inner tube pieces burn long and start a fire well. 

I prefer the compressed cotton make-up squares. I stole some from the ex to try and once you pull them apart with your fingers they fluff up quite a bit yet pack flat and take up little room in the tinderbox.

LOL, I do not think that Ace sell's napalm but its not that hard to make but it's really not needed.

I was just doing some laundry and had an idea so I tried it.

The used fabric softener sheets light and burn pretty fast, as well.

And they make the air smell sweet and purdy, too!

 
               

For starting large bonfires safely at camp, I used to stuff dryer lint into the waxed one cup milk boxes (like from school) - then pour melted wax in.

It would start with a small flame, but quickly get all the tinder and kindling going. These worked even when raining.
